Meet the very recent award winner for Best Bikini Body at Miss Universe Great Britain 2011 final, Natasha Crook. It was Natasha’s goal to join Donald Trump for Miss Universe 2011. After coming a close second Natasha continues to be in constant demand for appointments for lingerie and swimwear companies such as DKNY lingerie.
Not only is Natasha beautiful on the outside, she has the most amazing energy. We both felt that we had known each other for years. I was introduced to her by Nickie Purewal , manager of RMG Models and owner of Essential Extracts . Natasha is now an ambassador for Take Cover Tattoo for Models with Take Cover Skin System.
We arranged an evening of photo shoots with photographer Vanda Ralevska , who manages to capture the moments of your day, be it for a special occasion or just magical moments with Images In Focus.
Natasha says at times she regrets having the tattoo, and it can get costly editing every photo. Nickie says that having tattoos can sometimes affect whether a model will get booked or not, so, Natasha is here today with the Skin Stylist of Take Cover Skin System, to find a perfect custom colour match to cover her tattoo completely.
Let’s have a look at Natasha’s tattoo. It is situated along the lower part of the hip and stomach. Quite visible when doing lingerie shoots.
The process will start by obtaining a colour match. So we need to identify the closest colours to match up with Natasha’s unique skin tone to cover the tattoo effectively enough to blend in with the rest of her torso.
Obtaining a colour match for Natasha was the biggest challenge I had ever encountered . Natasha rejoiced over the idea she was such a challenge! J Amazingly this was achieved by sheer determination, skill and just one extra drop of a colour farthest from the expected tones you would use on a skin tone that is of half French and half Italian parentage. It felt like being in a science lab!
Now that the colours have been identified, they will be mixed to perfection and tested again before proceeding.
We are happy with the colour match, so now we are ready to make up the colour and prepare the airbrush.
Using an airbrush is the best way to apply the custom colour match makeup.
We are now some minutes into the airbrushing process.
Because a permanent tattoo is embedded quite deeply under many skin layers, the coverage requires you to build up quite heavily, so there is a technique that is used to enable the coverage to look as smooth and as blended as possible. The smaller the tattoo, the more difficult this is to achieve.
We are done.
Natasha checks in the mirror to make sure she is happy with the results.
I believe she is very happy with the results. Just to make sure, let’s go back to how the tattoo looked before the job was carried out to cover it.
Ahh yes!! There it is.
Aaah!! That's better!
That's a wrap!!
